Job Description

Pediatric Geneticist Inova Health System parental leave, paid time off, retirement plan, relocation assistance United States, Virginia, Fairfax May 20, 2026 Inova Children's is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Geneticist to join its growing Division of Medical Genetics. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes clinical geneticists, genetic counselors, advanced practice providers, and dedicated support staff. The division provides comprehensive genetic evaluation, diagnostic testing, and ongoing management for pediatric patients with inherited and rare genetic conditions. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is a 241-bed children's hospital at Inova Fairfax Hospital medical campus, located in Northern Virginia. Inova L.J. Murphy Children's Hospital is the only dedicated children's hospital in Northern Virginia. Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Medical Genetics
Experience:
successful completion of pediatric residency program.
Licensure:
Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
Payer Credentialing:
Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
Medical Staff Credentialing:
Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
