Job Description

Position Summary The Laboratory Technician performs sample analysis and instrument maintenance to ensure compliance with company processes and standards. This role requires extended periods of work in a cleanroom environment and handling various chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Operate instruments in accordance with company processes and procedures to analyze raw materials, intermediates, final products, and samples requested by other departments. Execute sample preparation or sampling Required to wear a cleanroom suit, cleanroom shoes, a cleanroom cap, and gloves for extended periods while working in a cleanroom environment. Work with chemicals, specifically concentrated acids, bases, and organic solvents Collect, organize data, and upload it to the system. Assist engineers with analytical method development. Maintain laboratory housekeeping (5S) environment, and upkeep laboratory facilities and protocols. Assist in managing equipment-related maintenance and chemicals Assist with supervision duties during laboratory expansion or construction Performs other duties as requested and assigned Adhere to all site, company, and regulatory standards, policies, rules, and requirements
Required/Preferred Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. An associate degree in science or math is preferred. Basic PC skills (Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office) are required Be a logical thinker and attentive to numbers accuracy. 6-12+ months of experience working in a chemical lab is highly preferred. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Good communication skills within different functional groups. Ability to work independently and safely with minimal supervision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
1.) The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, tools etc. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms. 2.) The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 3.) Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 4.) The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 5.) Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards. 6.) Chemical protective clothing is required for chemical hazards working area. 7.) Work is primarily outside and will have exposure to extreme weather conditions and nature elements. Will need appropriate clothing for extreme weather conditions. 8.) Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl and balance for extended periods of time. 9.) In specific condition, working at height and confined space is required. 10.) Need to work at trailer office under construction phase. 11.) Must pass a pre-employment medical exam to wear a respirator 12.) Must be able to wear a respirator for the duration of painting and confined space operations.
