Job Description

Our client is looking for a detail oriented research technician to join their team and assist with applications development. Serving industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, mobile devices, telecom, data storage, and infrastructure, our client is a trusted partner to manufacturers worldwide. Their comprehensive portfolio of high-quality solutions and technical services spans the full electronics supply chain, enabling businesses to succeed in a highly competitive market. Responsibilities
  • Assist lead engineers in applications development: prepare samples, perform analytical tests, record data and observations, prepare summaries of experiments
  • Perform die bonding application manually and automatedly.
  • Troubleshoot basic process issues and escalate appropriately
  • Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis
  • Handling microscopic components; use of microscopes, tweezers, vacuum tools.
  • Process documentation, basic troubleshooting, maintaining repeatability and yield Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of industry experience in a related field.
  • Technical certification or degree in electrical, chemical, or a related engineering field is preferred
  • One or more of the following: Materials testing background, experience working with metals, QC background, lab experience
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to log process data
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, communicate effectively.
  • Hands-on, good time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail; focus on process control, documentation, maintaining quality.
  • Able to stand, reach, use fine tools; occasionally lift small weights or handle assemblies.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
