8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer . We are looking for a Lab Technician Under the supervision of a Senior Technician, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence. Operate and maintain all laboratory testing equipment associated with each test requirement within prescribed test parameters, including light maintenance. Enter samples to be tested, perform evaluation techniques and ratings per established test methods and use a computer for data entry and report generation. Collect and record data accurately according to quality standards (standard checks/verifications). Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree (or Bachelor's) in a science or technical field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of lab experience; computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must work well with others in a team environment Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Must be capable of working on multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously within a demanding environment. Strong math skills as well as excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Experience with basic tool manipulation, including mixing equipment, lab glassware , calipers and other standard lab tools. The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day. Must be able to lift parts in and out of chambers up to 20-30lbs.
