Job Description

job summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to provide formulation and analytical support for oligonucleotide based therapeutics across in vitro and in vivo studies. This individual will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure high quality dosing solutions, execute stability testing, support analytical workflows, and contribute to nonclinical and clinical development programs.

San Rafael, California job type: Contract salary: $39.00 - 44.06 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Formulation & Dosing Support Independently and collaboratively prepare, formulate, and quality check dosing solutions for a range of in vitro and in vivo studiesPerform formulation stability studies and define appropriate short and long term storage conditionsSupport formulation strategies for oligonucleotides across different delivery and study paradigms Analytical & Technical Support Execute analytical assays to support formulation and quality assessment, including UV, LC MS, and osmolality measurementsPerform quantitative data analysis across multiple experiments, including basic statistical and graphical analysisProactively troubleshoot technical issues and recommend corrective actions to ensure data quality and project continuity Innovation & Capability Building Develop new techniques or introduce new technologies to enhance the group's formulation and analytical capabilitiesContribute to continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and experimental approaches Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory notebook records in compliance with data integrity standardsPrepare SOPs, technical reports, and documentation to support nonclinical and clinical programs, including regulatory submissionsPresent data and actively participate in group meetings, department meetings, and Early Development team meetings Laboratory Operations Share responsibility for laboratory management duties, including equipment readiness, inventory, and general lab organization qualifications: Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, orMaster's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience Required Skills & Experience Good understanding of oligonucleotide therapeutics, formulation approaches, and stability testingHands on experience with analytical techniques such as UV spectroscopy, LC MS, and osmolality measurementsAbility to perform quantitative analysis across studies with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross functional teamsStrong problem solving skills and attention to detail #LI-AO1 skills: In Vitro, In Vivo, Liquid Chromatography (LC), Mass Spectrometry (MS), UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
