Overview Join our innovative team as a Chemist and play a vital role in advancing scientific research and product development within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. In this dynamic position, you will utilize your expertise in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and laboratory techniques to contribute to the creation, analysis, and quality assurance of cutting-edge formulations. Duties Conduct comprehensive chemical analyses using spectrophotometers, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and spectroscopy techniques to characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods aligned with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), ISO 9001 standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Design and execute experiments related to formulation chemistry, organic chemistry, and experimental design to support product development initiatives. Maintain detailed documentation of research findings, experimental procedures, and results within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for traceability and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality control, regulatory affairs, and research to ensure seamless integration of scientific insights into production processes. Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and presentations to communicate research findings effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders. Support quality control activities by performing routine laboratory testing for manufacturing batches and participating in audits related to GMP compliance. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline; PhD preferred for advanced research roles. Proven laboratory experience with laboratory instruments such as spectrophotometers, HPLC systems (including high-performance liquid chromatographs), gas chromatographs, LC-MS equipment, and other chromatography tools. Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques including spectroscopy, chromatography (GC & HPLC), spectroscopy methods, and wet chemistry procedures. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), ISO 9001 standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance requirements. Experience in pharmaceutical analysis, formulation chemistry, organic chemistry, and research methodology including experimental design and design of experiments (DOE). Ability to interpret complex data sets accurately and present findings clearly through reports or scientific publications. Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments. Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and documentation. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining laboratory records and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
