- Full-time Job Overview We are a contract manufacturer specializing in solid dose dietary supplements, backed by a state-of-the-art, on-site analytical laboratory.
As part of our commitment to quality and scientific excellence, we are expanding our Quality Control team and seeking a QC Chemist I to support our testing and compliance operations. The QC Chemist I is responsible for performing analytical and physical testing on raw materials and finished products to support product quality and regulatory compliance. We are looking for candidates with strong HPLC and LCMS skills and experience in operating HPTLC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-MS, and FTIR. We are open to training candidates with a solid chemistry background, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Perform physicals and analytical testing of raw materials and finished products in accordance with cGMP, assigned Specifications, and SOPs. Operate, maintain, and calibrate analytical instruments, including FTIR, HPTLC, HPLC, LCMS, GC, UV-VIS, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS (as trained). Document all testing data accurately and clearly in accordance with cGMP. Assist in troubleshooting equipment errors and method optimization, especially for mineral and heavy metal analysis (experience in this area is a plus). Assist with method development and improvement efforts under the direction of senior staff. Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and other test documentation. Perform USP monograph testing and support other quality compliance activities. Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment readiness, and proper reagent labeling and storage. Maintain Good Documentation and Good Laboratory Practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemistry or related scientific field. 0-2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment (dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or food industry preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new instrumentation. Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform calculations, and troubleshoot issues Understanding of cGMP, GLP, GDP, and basic regulatory expectations. Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices. Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting.
