The scientist will work closely with other group members and play an important role in the development processes to support therapeutic and diagnostic clients.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize, purify and characterize modified nucleosides and nucleotides. Optimize and scale up the synthesis and transfer procedures to manufacturing group. Keep good records of experimental procedures and analytical data. Maintain the chemistry laboratory space in compliance with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. with 2+ years of industrial experience. Proficient in synthetic organic chemistry with nucleosides and nucleotides, and experienced in normal and reverse phase purification methods. Proven ability to execute multi-step organic syntheses independently. Familiar with MS Office and work-related software. Good written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in custom synthesis and conjugation to solid support is a plus. Understanding of phosphoramidite chemistry is beneficial. Experience in technology transfer to manufacturing is desirable.
