A premier health and wellness manufacturing leader is seeking a Senior Formulation Scientist to serve as the key technical link between R&D and production, bringing high-quality gummy and soft chew products from benchtop to commercial scale.
location:
Deerfield Beach, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $110,000 - 130,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: Develop and optimize novel gummy and soft chew nutritional formulations from benchtop to pilot trials. Lead scale-up and technology transfer processes from R&D to full commercial manufacturing. Establish and optimize equipment parameters for cooking, mixing, depositing, cooling, and packaging. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement continuous improvements to boost quality, yields, and cost-efficiency. Ensure all development processes comply with FDA, cGMP, NSF, and Prop 65 regulatory standards.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically in gummy and soft chew formulations. Proven track record in benchtop-to-pilot commercialization, scale-up, and technology transfer. Direct expertise in manufacturing equipment parameter optimization and process troubleshooting. Strong working knowledge of FDA, cGMP, NSF, and Prop 65 standards.
