Not funded by a EU programme Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure? No Offer Description The recruited postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the development of a new generation of biodegradable breast biopsy markers manufactured by 3D printing. The objective of the project is to design and characterize biodegradable photopolymerizable resins suitable for Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing, with the aim of producing implantable medical devices exhibiting optimized imaging visibility, biocompatibility, and controlled degradation properties. The project is carried out within the framework of a collaboration between an academic research laboratory and an industrial partner. It lies at the interface of polymer chemistry, biomaterials, and additive manufacturing technologies applied to medical devices. The candidate will conduct experimental work involving the synthesis of monomers and polymers by photopolymerization, and 3D printing. The candidate will be responsible for the physicochemical, mechanical, and degradation characterization of the developed materials and will contribute to the optimization of both resin formulations and associated manufacturing processes. The candidate will analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare scientific and technical reports, and contribute to the overall scientific management of the project. The candidate will also participate in regular interactions with both academic and industrial partners. The project will be carried out at the Institut Galien Paris-Saclay (CNRS
UMR 8612
) within a research program focused on the development of biodegradable implantable medical devices. The project is conducted in collaboration with Choice Medical and involves expertise in polymer chemistry, formulation science, photopolymerization, additive manufacturing and biomaterials. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment bringing together chemists, physical chemists and biologists.
