Job Description

Department The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) Qualifications PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Physics, or any other relevant discipline. Preferred Qualifications Experience in experimental separation processes, ligand chemistry, molecular dynamics simulations and/or computational fluid dynamics, magnet systems, experimental micro/macro fluidics, and colloidal science. A track record of quality publications with excellent writing skills is essential. Experience with instrument design and/or automation experience. Interdisciplinary knowledge and skills bridging engineering to soft matter science. Team player with outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Helpful Start Date:
Evaluation of applications will begin immediately, with a start date as early as January 2026. Position will be for an initial period of one year, with possible extension to a second and third year. Applicants that are interested in chemical separations (e.g. solvent extraction, ion exchange), physical separations (e.g. magnetophoresis), unit operations, multiscale modeling, are encouraged to apply.
