A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline. 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing pharmaceutical formulations. In-depth understanding of formulation techniques and industry practices. Proficient in operating formulation and analytical instruments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. R&D Formulation Scientist:

Design and develop innovative pharmaceutical formulations, such as tablets, capsules, and liquid forms. Carry out pre-formulation research to assess the characteristics of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients. Optimize formulations for improved stability, bioavailability, and patient adherence. Ensure all formulations adhere to regulatory guidelines and industry standards. Understand and apply 21 CFR FDA drug compliance requirements. Perform HPLC stability testing, dissolution tests, and other essential evaluations to confirm formulation safety and effectiveness. Develop prototypes and samples for further testing and validation. Analyze experimental data and draw insights to drive formulation improvements. Maintain accurate, detailed records of all experiments and outcomes. Ensure formulations align with internal quality benchmarks. Implement quality control processes throughout the formulation development lifecycle. Collaborate effectively with teams such as quality control, regulatory, and production. Communicate progress, challenges, and results clearly to stakeholders. Stay informed on the latest trends in pharmaceutical formulation and evolving regulatory standards.
