Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a hands-on R&D Manufacturing & Product Development Manager to support research and development, formulation, and manufacturing of gummies, capsules, powders, and honey gel supplements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives both in the lab and on the production floor. Your main duties will be in the lab performing R&D, but you will at times need to teach the operators how to make gummies and bring bench samples to production. Key Responsibilities R&D & Formulation (Gummy, Honey Gels, Capsules, Powders) Develop, test, and optimize supplement formulations (vitamins, minerals, functional ingredients, actives) Conduct trials, pilot runs, and scale up testing Adjust formulations for taste, texture, stability, shelf life, and manufacturability Document formulations, test results, and SOPs Gummy Manufacturing & Machine Operation Operate, set up, and troubleshoot gummy manufacturing equipment while teaching operators how to operate so this is off-loaded your plate. Support new product launches Optimize machine settings for consistency, yield, and efficiency Process Development & Quality Support Support ingredient testing, stability testing, and sensory evaluations Assist with raw material evaluation and vendor samples Qualifications 1-5+ years experience in gummy manufacturing, food production, or supplement R&D Hands-on experience with gummy formulation and/or gummy production equipment Understanding of food science, supplement ingredients, or nutraceutical formulation Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field Experience with pectin- or gelatin-based gummies Knowledge of vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and functional ingredients Experience scaling formulations from R&D to commercial production Familiarity with FDA dietary supplement regulations (21 CFR Part 111)
