Chemist Intern

Overview Rapiscan is seeking a Chemist Co-op, based out of Andover, MA. Rapiscan Systems, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports and terminals, government and military installations and nuclear facilities. Responsibilities Theoretical and practical experience in analytical chemistry Excellent communication and writing skills Analytical instrumentation experience Experience in developing computer code using Matlab, Python, LabView, or similar programs Ability and desire to work in a diverse collaborative teamwork environment. Qualifications Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor Or Master of Science degree program in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Must be able to commit to 10-12 weeks, or longer, starting in May or June 2026. Must reside within a daily commuting distance throughout Co-op Must have good laboratory skills and demonstrated experience in computer assisted data analysis and interpretation Experience in analytical chemistry and/or electromagnetism Please review our benefits here: Life at OSI Pay may range from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour T he pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
