  • Role Overview
  • The Technical Manager - Marlborough Leveraged Analytical Sciences, located in Marlborough, Massachusetts, is an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader to step into a highly visible role leading a team of 16 scientists and technicians supporting R D and manufacturing across Qnity's global businesses.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people development and operational responsibility. The successful candidate will drive analytical excellence, build team capability, and align laboratory priorities with business needs to accelerate innovation and support manufacturing performance. This position offers strong exposure across functions and geographies, making it an ideal next step for individuals looking to expand their leadership impact while remaining deeply connected to science and technology.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Prioritize analytical testing and method development to meet business and site needs + Deliver high-quality, timely analytical insights that support R D and manufacturing decisions + Guide teams in applying advanced analytical chemistry and measurement science techniques + Lead, coach, and develop a team of 16 analytical scientists and technicians + Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment + Build capability through strategic hiring, training, and technology investments + Champion EH&S, quality, and compliance standards + Drive continuous improvement through digital enablement, automation, and laboratory optimization + Build strong partnerships with R D, Manufacturing, and business leaders + Manage external analytical providers to ensure quality, performance, and cost effectiveness •Qualifications•Minimum Requirements•+ PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field with at least 5 years of industry experience; or equivalent experience + Hands-on experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as LC, GC, NMR, or ICP-MS •Preferred Qualifications•+ Experience leading or mentoring technical teams with demonstrated growth in leadership responsibility + Strong interest in developing as a people leader while delivering technical results + Proven ability to solve complex problems and guide teams in applying analytical methods + Experience supporting manufacturing or customer-facing technical organizations + Experience transferring methods from R D to manufacturing + Familiarity with tools such as STARLIMS, JMP, and Power BI •Why This Role?
