Job Summary:
The Scientist II will support biotherapeutics discovery through high throughput antibody binding and functional screening activities. This role will execute, optimize, and analyze ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell based assays to support antibody discovery and project advancement. The position requires hands on experience with antibody screening workflows, mammalian cell culture, assay optimization, and experimental data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to standardizing and automating screening protocols while working effectively with cross functional scientific teams. This position offers an opportunity to support data driven decisions within a fast paced discovery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute high throughput antibody screening workflows using flow cytometry based binding, internalization, and reporter assays. Perform and analyze experiments evaluating antibody binding, potency, and selectivity using ELISA and flow cytometry platforms. Operate automated liquid handling systems to support high throughput screening activities. Coordinate sourcing of internal and commercial reagents required for screening assays. Develop and standardize screening workflows, assay protocols, and automation procedures. Maintain immortalized mammalian cell lines and support functional cellular assay activities. Troubleshoot assay execution and optimize protocols to improve screening performance and consistency. Analyze experimental data and communicate findings to cross functional project teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with approximately 5 years of relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience, or Master's Degree or equivalent education with approximately 2 years of relevant experience. Strong hands on experience executing and troubleshooting flow cytometry assays. Strong experience with high throughput screening workflows. Familiarity with immortalized mammalian cell culture. Prior experience with functional cellular assays. Strong experimental data analysis capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across scientific teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with protein protein interaction assays. Previous ELISA experience. Experience developing or standardizing automated assay protocols. Experience working with automated liquid handling systems in a screening environment.
