Sr. Scientist (IVD) Commonwealth Sciences - 4.5 Bethesda, MD Job Details Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy Full Job Description Position located in Bethesda, MD Responsibilities of the Sr. Scientist (IVD): Provide recommendations for innovative technologies and platforms to support in vitro diagnostics. Support feasibility studies and biomarker evaluation. Research adaptive immunity signaling pathways and kinetics of biomarker expression in response to antigen stimulation, with a specific focus on tuberculosis. Research novel biomarkers that can be integrated or added as assays on existing product platforms, including ELISA, PCR, and NGS. Provide technical expertise as part of discussions with potential external collaborators. Lead meetings to outline new product opportunities with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Marketing, R D, Regulatory Affairs and Operations. Support product lifecycle activities following QIAGEN global design control processes for IVD regulated products, from feasibility, analytical and clinical validation in product development up to lifecycle management for registered products. Guide and train junior scientists on product innovation concepts. Requirements of the Sr. Scientist (IVD): PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field. Must have 3+ years industry experience with IVD/Diagnostics. Understanding of TB pathology and interaction with the host immune system preferred. Must have experience with Feasibility studies. IND1
