Contract (Temporary•6 months) Overview Leading biotechnology company in the Rockville, MD area is seeking a Scientist I to support Product Characterization within Analytical Sciences. This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on LC-MS and chromatography-based testing supporting biologics programs. Responsibilities Perform analytical sample testing using LC-MS, HPLC/UPLC, and electrophoresis-based method Prepare samples and solvents for chromatography following SOPs Execute assays requiring mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments Accurately document experimental data using electronic lab notebooks Analyze and interpret chromatography and analytical data Support internal and external project testing Escalate technical issues and assist with troubleshooting and resolution Requirements Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related life sciences 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience (industry or academic) Hands-on experience with LC-MS and/orHPLC/UPLC
assays (biologics preferred) Experience with sample preparation and solvent preparation for LC systems Proficiency with lab equipment including pipettes, analytical balances, and standard glassware Experience with data recording and analysis using electronic lab notebooks Ability to follow SOPs and execute experiments with minimal oversight Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
