Job Description

Job Description & Duties:
Working directly with customers to determine what kinds of products they want to develop. We're looking for someone who can create strong, reliable formulas across a wide spectrum of personal care products, as well as home care, laundry, pet care, and more. The position will require collaboration with the sales and purchasing departments to provide preliminary pricing to customers, and independently reproducing formulations based on in-market benchmarks. Our Chemists are dedicated to creating great products and working with our compounding teams to ensure every batch is coming out correctly from bench scale to production.
Our chemists are expected to:
  • Formulate new products for customers
  • Iterate on formulas based on customer feedback
  • Assist in scale up procedures during production
  • Assist with testing and verifying batches
  • Determining and recording product specifications
  • Performing in-house stability testing status of formulas
  • Value engineer formulas for customers
  • Proactively identifying innovation opportunities
  • Follow proper laboratory practices and standard operating procedures when recording formulations and relevant data in lab records
  • Work with other chemists on group products and coordinating activities of other technicians when necessary Minimum job requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science, 1-3 years of employment experience in pharmaceutical science with formulation experience in skincare/haircare.
Applicant will also undergo training of 3 months on the job to be familiar with company's process for batching, stability, and other tasks. Position will also be trained in applicable software (Good Face, CIN7, and Microsoft Excel).
