Job Description

CDL B Field Chemist Clean Harbors is seeking a CDL B Field Chemist to support environmental and industrial service projects across client sites. In this role, you will safely operate CDL B vehicles to collect, consolidate, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste while performing basic field chemistry tasks such as sampling, testing, and waste characterization. You will ensure strict compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations, maintain accurate manifests and documentation, and uphold Clean Harbors' safety-first culture. This position offers the chance to contribute to meaningful environmental work, develop technical skills, and work with a collaborative, safety-focused team. Operate CDL B vehicles to collect, transport, and offload hazardous and non-hazardous waste Perform basic field chemistry tasks such as sampling, testing, and waste characterization Ensure full compliance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations and company safety policies Complete all manifests, logs, and regulatory paperwork accurately and on time Inspect vehicles, equipment, and PPE; report and address safety or maintenance issues Support emergency spill response and onsite remediation projects as needed Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams at job sites Participate in safety meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement activities CDL Class B driving Hazardous waste handling Field sampling techniques Chemical characterization DOT and EPA regulations
