The successful candidate will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide innovative solutions based on various testing and methodology on a wide variety of projects. General Responsibilities:
The candidate will be evaluating and testing concrete and cementitious materials, and analyzing the chemical properties of such materials. The candidate will be responsible for developing procedures, calibrations, and standards of various test methods and analytical techniques, and lead QA/QC and safety efforts.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Career level, fully competent scientific professional responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting or coordinating detailed phases of work for part of a major project or total of a project of moderate scope and complexity. Performs scientific analyses on projects of own discipline. May devise new approaches to problems encountered. Evaluates complex laboratory and field data and assembles in written reports. Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines; responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices; promote pre-task planning for all projects Deep competency in analytical equipment to include: XRF, XRD, SEM/EDS, TGA, AA, FT-IR, ICP-MS, GC-MS, OES, etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related science or engineering field and a minimum of 15 years' related experience. Prior experience in the cement or concrete industry. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
