Job Description
Performs and confirms the accuracy of patients' laboratory tests and provides findings to physicians to assist in diagnosis and treatment of disease to provide quality patient care. Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities in delegated section, overseeing the pre- analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Responsible for the technical and/or direct supervision of laboratory personnel and maintenance within their representative departments. M.T. (ASCP) certification with B.S. degree or M.L.T. (ASCP) certification with A.S. degree, or M.T. (AMT) HEW certified. Knowledge in all areas of the clinical laboratory with teamwork, communication, critical thinking and inter- personal skills. 5 years experience in designated section; supervisory experience preferred.
