Position Summary/Description:
The Rupprecht lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher to study the role of the gut-brain connection in the effects of alcohol and food intake using genetically-engineered mouse models, biochemistry and mass spectroscopy, ex vivo imaging, and cell-culture models.
Education and Experience:
Prior experience with mouse models and survival surgeries. Extensive microscopy (confocal, spinning disk) and image analysis (Imaris, etc.) Ability to work independently to design and analyze experiments, write grant applications, willingness to read/review manuscripts that will be developed with on-the-job training.
