Job Description
Chemist - Peptide Purification and Conjugation LifeTein, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Chemist to join our team of professionals specializing in peptide conjugation, characterization, and purification. The ideal candidate is energetic, forward-thinking, highly organized, and committed to scientific quality and excellence. Key Responsibilities Characterize and identify peptides using modern analytical and purification methods, including HPLC, preparative HPLC, LC-MS, and MS. Develop and optimize peptide purification processes. Provide scientific leadership in resolving challenging purification and separation problems. Troubleshoot practical and theoretical issues related to peptide and synthetic chemistry. Maintain accurate experimental records and communicate results clearly. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across scientific disciplines. Comply fully with all laboratory safety protocols, policies, and quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Extensive hands-on laboratory experience with HPLC purification. Experience with peptide purification and conjugation is strongly preferred. Familiarity with modern separation and analytical chemistry techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve significant synthetic chemistry problems; publications or equivalent evidence of scientific achievement are preferred. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities covering both practical and theoretical synthetic issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Careful attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
