Entry-Level Laboratory Technician (Open to New Graduates)

Laboratory / Research / Quality Control Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a degree in a scientific field who are eager to gain hands-on laboratory experience. The Lab Technician will support daily laboratory operations, assist with experiments, and ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for analysis Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments Record, analyze, and report data accurately and in a timely manner Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment Follow all safety procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, GLP, GMP where applicable) Assist senior scientists or technicians with research projects and troubleshooting Inventory and restock laboratory supplies as needed Document procedures and maintain detailed lab notebooks or electronic records Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field 0-2 years of laboratory experience (academic lab experience accepted) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety practices Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely Strong communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Preferred Qualifications Internship or research experience in a laboratory setting Familiarity with common lab equipment (pipettes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, etc.) Exposure to regulatory environments (GLP, GMP, ISO) Experience with data entry or laboratory information management systems (LIMS) Work Environment Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biological materials, or environmental samples May require standing for extended periods and lifting up to [X] pounds Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required Benefits Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Training and career development opportunities Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Congers, NY.
