Job Purpose
Collaborate with team members on research and development projects involving new resin development as well as in-sourcing and technical transfers of new product to AkzoNobel's Huron manufacturing facility. Provide technical guidance to manufacturing facility for troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis for batches that do not meet specifications, advising on process and raw material changes. Key Responsibilities Manage lab work request(s) related to synthesizing resin. Will conduct root cause analysis for resin batches that do not meet specifications.
Provide technical advice and guidance on resin manufacturing for assigned resin product(s).
Assist on projects for new resin development. Communications project results to internal stakeholders through written reports and presentations incorporating the appropriate level of technical detail.
Participate in the site Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives such as Behavior Based Safety (BBS) and safety day. Will follow all site safety regulations.
Job Requirements Bachelor of Science in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
3 years' polymer synthesis experience required. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Compliance with all site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security policies and requirements.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Rewards and Benefits
The salary range for these skills is $93,000.00 - $100,000.00 based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus target of 7.5%, based on individual and company performance. Perks for Joining AkzoNobel!
