The company supports product development through analytical, testing, and regulatory expertise, helping clients move complex programs forward with scientific rigor, quality, and precision. In this role, you will contribute to chemistry programs focused on the development of enantiomeric chemical entities. This is an opportunity to apply deep organic synthesis expertise in a collaborative laboratory environment, working closely with cross-functional scientific partners to advance project goals while maintaining high standards for quality, documentation, and compliance. Responsibilities Design and perform multi-step organic syntheses to produce enantiomeric chemical entities. Develop and optimize synthetic routes to improve yield, purity, and scalability of enantiomeric chemicals. Document experimental procedures, data, and results accurately in lab notebooks and reports, following good documentation practices. Collaborate with analytical scientists to support project goals and timeline. Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements in all laboratory activities. Troubleshoot synthetic scheme challenges, characterization data, and reaction conditions, and propose innovative solutions. Requirements Master's degree or PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience in the organic synthesis of enantiomeric compounds. Experience with multi-step organic synthesis and route optimization. Deep knowledge of stereochemistry, enantiomeric synthesis, reaction mechanisms, synthetic methodologies, and analytical techniques. Hands-on experience documenting work in GMP-compliant laboratory environments. Experience working closely with analytical scientists, including interpreting characterization data, coordinating method support, and partnering on project timelines. Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS; experience with chiral chromatography and NMR is a plus.
