Our qualityteamat Tesla is seeking an Analytical Chemist with a strong background inanalytical chemistry,material testing, methodsdevelopment, and problem-solving methodologies. This candidate will be a core member of an interdisciplinary materials and process development team that is focused on developing innovative technologies to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. The candidate will be working in the analytical lab and leading the commissioning, operation, maintenance of analytical instruments, developing new testingmethodsand validation protocols. What You'll Do Oversee a quality lab responsible for supporting materials engineering and method development Ensure hundreds of recycling, battery materials,and lithium refinery samples areaccuratelyanalyzed andpublished weekly Develop state-of-the art methods to characterize advanced materialsand intermediates Procure,installandoperatestate-of-the-artanalytical tools Oversee key techniques like particle size analysis, moisture content, tap and bulk density, XRF, XRD, FTIUR, TGA, viscometry, pH, ICP, AAS, combustion analysis, LOI, specific surface area (BET), SEM Ensure analytical samples (hundreds/week) are performedandthat CoA's are issuedintimelyfashion Research, develop andvalidatenew analytical methods for a variety of applications and instrumental techniques Develop and implement new standard operating procedures and provide training to team members Characterize new materials and developspecification.
