Position Type:

Required:
Minimum BS degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related discipline with experience in a laboratory environment. Familiar with Laboratory Information Management Systems and documentation tools. Expertise in analytical chemistry across a wide variety of technical disciplines and be able to apply it directly to our global products. Attention to details in implementing experiments/projects and in the delivery of accurate and timely analytical results/insights. Ability to think and act, while communicating needs and results appropriately. Able to work in a team and to collaborate with partners. Effective communication and organizational skills. Must understand and follow safe handling of hazardous chemicals and have an appreciation of the normal hazards associated with laboratory work.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry. Experience in foods industry testing physical characterization, volatiles, and oil quality. 2+ years of experience working with LabVantage LIMS platform. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities:
Conduct basic analyses for all types of food materials and ingredients, provide analytical insights for research workstreams within foods portfolio. Primary role is to conduct physical testing, volatiles testing, oil quality testing, and method development support. This includes business support for digital integrations within LabVantage LIMS software. Leverage analytical instruments, methodologies, and procedures to deliver solid and accurate data timely.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the testing of samples leveraging internal and external capabilities as appropriate. Deploy analytical methods and capture data into a laboratory information management system (LabVantage). Support the development of analytical methods where required. Collaborate with product development, operations, and analytical partners as appropriate. Learn new test methods. Collaborate across the Measurement Sciences research laboratory team to conduct analysis in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with minimal supervision. Demonstrate adherence to site Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation and assure the reliability of measurement systems by using appropriate GLP. Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for research testing functions.
