Onsite Clariant is currently seeking a Well Service Additives Chemist to support the Care Chemicals Business Unit at our facility in The Woodlands, TX. This role focuses on collaborating on the development of innovative well service additive products, performing testing, and enhancing laboratory methodologies to support both new product development and technical service efforts. The Chemist will support lab-based workstreams, interpret data, and work cooperatively across teams to address key projects and customer needs. This position is well-suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented scientist with a passion for formulation and creative problem-solving in the oilfield services industry, looking to make a meaningful impact through technical excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Act as a global technical contact for well service additives and wholesale, providing collaborative support to sales and marketing teams. Support and contribute to assigned workstreams within Class 2 and Class 3 Innovation-to-Market (I2M) projects focused on new product development. Design and perform lab-scale formulation and application tests to assess the performance of well service additive products. Coordinate lab activities, interpret experimental data, and share findings in project meetings. Respond to technical service requests by engaging stakeholders, conducting relevant experiments, and preparing detailed reports. Mentor junior team members and regional colleagues on lab procedures, techniques, and equipment. Maintain strong adherence to safety practices and promote a culture of care in the laboratory. Update or create new standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect improved lab methodologies. Stay current on industry developments by attending global conferences and reviewing technical publications.
