Job Description

Company Overview Newell Polymers, Part of Polyrheo group is a leading Alkyd Resin Manufacturer based out of West Virginia. Newell Polymers produces Alkyd Resins, and various Solvent Borne and Water borne Chemistries for CASE Market, Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing our scientific research, product development, and quality assurance efforts. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and compliance across various manufacturing processes. Duties Conduct scientific research and develop new chemical formulations aligned with industry standards and customer needs. Perform analytical chemistry techniques such as gas chromatography (GC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), spectroscopy, and chromatography to analyze raw materials and finished products. Execute wet chemistry procedures for quality control testing and process validation within GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) frameworks. Maintain detailed documentation of experiments, test results, and laboratory activities using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize product formulations and troubleshoot technical issues during production. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
quality management standards by implementing rigorous testing protocols. Support biochemistry investigations related to product stability, safety assessments, and process improvements. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline. Proven laboratory experience with analytical techniques such as spectrophotometry, chromatography (gas chromatography and HPLC), spectroscopy, and chromatography methods. Strong knowledge of
GLP, CGMP, ISO 9001
standards, and laboratory safety protocols. Experience in scientific research, product development, quality control, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail in experimental procedures. $52,392.60 - $63,096.46 per year
