Department:
Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics Research Unit Position Summary:
The Clinical Research Associate will play a vital role in supporting clinical trials through hands-on activities and continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring. This position requires direct face-to-face interaction with study subjects and involves responsibilities such as phlebotomy, ECG collection, and obtaining vital signs.
Key Responsibilities:
Review clinical trial protocols and adhere to study-specific procedures relevant to telemetry. Communicate professionally with study participants and internal staff. Maintain accurate and complete source documentation. Perform protocol-related activities, including telemetry monitoring and related documentation. Assist in setting up the telemetry monitoring system and preparing telemetry transmitters. Conduct continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring in accordance with study protocols; escalate as needed. Support telemetry data review and assist in generating Holter monitor reports. Maintain subject safety and confidentiality throughout all study phases. Comply with all applicable SOPs, FDA regulations, and GCP guidelines.
Top Required Skills/Qualifications:
Cardiac Arrhythmia recognition and phlebotomy experience Experience performing laboratory procedures Proficiency in blood draws Ability to obtain and document vital signs accurately Background in a clinical or hospital setting; candidates with experience as paramedics or firefighters are often successful in this role.
Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required:
1-2 years of experience in a clinical or research environment Documented proficiency in Cardiac Arrhythmia recognition (required)
