Job Description

Responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks in support of the clinical research program or laboratory. Manages the front desk, organizes files, and performs other clerical duties associated with research studies and programs. Oversees all aspects of the research study along with contract milestones and invoicing. Supports Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator with patient care related tasks.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Completes clinical research requisitions and works directly with patient registration to identify which testing is related to the research study. 2. Follows patient accounting procedures, CRC schedules and testing required by the trial protocol and ensures that patients are not billed for procedures covered by the clinical trial protocol. 3. Follows appropriate procedures for case report form (CRF) preparation and completion and provides auditors with completed CRF's, medical records, lab data and other source documents for review. 4. Corrects and edits CRF's as appropriate. 5. Responsible for the compliant conduct of clinical trials within clinical discipline and adheres to the Code of Federal regulations while conducting research. 6. Ensures that all state and federal standards are followed and maintains accurate documentation of IRB submissions. 7. Actively participates in ongoing research specific quality assurance activities and attends investigator meetings related to research study as needed. 8. Reviews and verifies all relevant source documentation in the subject's medical record to confirm study eligibility and processes specimens according to protocol and IATA Guidelines. 9. Ensures positive relations with study sponsors and maintains inventory to carry out research procedures efficiently. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. 6 months of experience in Healthcare, Clinical Research or relevant area.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Research or related field.
