Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Clinical Research Coordinator I On-site, full-time position. Join Eye Associates of New Mexico and help advance the future of eye care. Eye Associates of New Mexico is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator I to join our Vision Research Center. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of clinical research that helps evaluate new treatments and advances in patient care. In this role, you'll work alongside physicians, investigators, research professionals, study sponsors, and patients to help coordinate clinical trials from enrollment through study completion. If you enjoy working with people, have strong organizational skills, and are interested in clinical research and healthcare, we'd love to hear from you. Prior ophthalmology experience is not required. What You'll Do As a Clinical Research Coordinator I, you'll help keep clinical studies organized, compliant, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for assigned clinical research studies
  • Support patient recruitment, screening, enrollment, scheduling, and retention
  • Work directly with research participants and provide study-related education and instructions
  • Review study protocols and eligibility requirements
  • Collect and document medical histories, medications, clinical data, and study-related information
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in case report forms, source documents, and sponsor data systems
  • Coordinate the collection, processing, storage, and shipment of study specimens
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential research records
  • Assist with sponsor queries, data clarification requests, audits, and regulatory activities
  • Help document and follow up on adverse events and protocol deviations
  • Communicate and collaborate with investigators, physicians, study sponsors, regulatory agencies, and other members of the research team
  • Perform or assist with study-specific procedures as appropriate, which may include vital signs, phlebotomy, ECGs, photography, and other specialized procedures Additional Information

Opens a new window. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a highly detailed environment.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Previous clinical research experience and/or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) credential, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
  • Ability to learn and work within sponsor data portals and research systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain screening and recruitment logs using Excel or Word
  • Phlebotomy skills are a plus
