Position Summary Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for conducting preliminary verification of patients' clinical trial eligibility status. Will review all available clinical information and based upon the review process making a preliminary judgment of the patients' eligibility status for participation for certain disease site research studies. Must possess a clear knowledge and understanding of the basic clinical research study eligibility criteria and remain familiar with any modifications or changes to the eligibility criteria. Responsible for working closely with various departments within medical center and with referring physicians' offices to obtain the necessary information to effectively screen the patient. Provide weekly progress reports on screening activities; screening information database and assist in the development of tracking systems. Responsible for staying abreast of the medical center various computerized patient database operational procedures. Responsibilities Assist with research projects, such as participants recruitment, informed consent, scheduling, assessments, data collection, monitor and document adverse events to behavioral intervention Assist with behavioral intervention development and delivery Assist with developing and managing regulatory protocols. Support activities to ensure compliance with all Institutional Review Boards (IRB), federal, state, and industry sponsor regulations Assist with coordinating and preparing for external quality assurance and control reviews by IRB, federal or industry sponsors Assist with collaborations within and across departments to develop new research projects Conducts scientific literature reviews, systematic reviews, and assists in drafting manuscripts, analyzing relevant research to support the development of scientific publications Performs accurate medical chart reviews and data abstraction from EHRs, ensuring meticulous record-keeping in accordance with established protocols Attends study meetings and provides regular updates on study progress Submission (not writing) of scientific manuscripts Excellent communication and writing skills Highly organized and self-driven Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. 1 year of relevant experience required.
