About Us Biocentric Health Research Center is a growing clinical research organization dedicated to advancing medicine through innovative clinical trials and community-focused healthcare. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to support both clinical research and patient care activities. Position Summary We are looking for a skilled Medical Assistant who is experienced in phlebotomy, obtaining vital signs, patient interaction, and clinical documentation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with patients and is interested in learning and growing within the clinical research industry.
Please note:
We are seeking candidates with prior medical experience. Applicants without healthcare experience will not be considered. Required Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience Strong phlebotomy skills (required) Experience obtaining and documenting vital signs Experience with specimen collection and processing Excellent patient communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working with diverse patient populations Reliable transportation Basic computer proficiency Preferred Qualifications Clinical research experience Experience with EKGs Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) Experience with laboratory specimen processing and shipping BLS certification Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and specimen collection Obtain and document vital signs Prepare and process laboratory specimens Assist with patient visits and study procedures Schedule participants and confirm appointments Maintain accurate source documentation and medical records Assist investigators and clinical research coordinators with study activities Ensure patient safety and protocol compliance Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Provide exceptional customer service to research participants The ideal candidate is: Friendly and professional Detail-oriented Comfortable working independently Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Passionate about patient care and advancing medical research Why Join Biocentric?
