Job Description

Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC), a member of Ballad Health , is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Neurohospitalist for an exciting inpatient-only opportunity. HVMC, a 505-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Kingsport, Tennessee, has more than 450 BC/BE physicians on staff and is recognized by the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association and the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. Ballad Health, a 21-hospital health system, covers a 29-county area and is made up of three tertiary facilities, 18 community/critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 Urgent Care locations and multiple specialty offices through its employed arm, Ballad Health Medical Associates, made up of over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners. What we're offering: 7 days on / 7 off schedule - 24-hour coverage, 12-hour day coverage /12-hour telephonic coverage Employed position Average patient volume: 12-15 patients (including consults) Epic EMR - health system-wide Physician extender (NP) support This position covers inpatient stroke and general neurology, including consults in the intensive care unit, general medical floor, and the emergency room and reading routine and prolonged EEGs.
