Job Description:
Summary:
The Clinical Research Coordinator will provide professional care and monitoring for research patients following established standards and practices. The coordinator will organize research protocols including obtaining consents, as well as assist in preparation of information for submission to Institutional Review Board (IRB) and completes correspondence between IRB and research study sponsor companies. Additionally, the Coordinator will serve as a resource and liaison in all aspects of each protocol. This individual will complete all paperwork connected to research study. The coordinator will coordinate all activities related to patients' care. In addition, this individual will organize and assist with site visits with research study sponsor companies and conduct in-service education where needed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate can be a RN, LPN or a non-licensed practitioner who is certified or certified eligible by time or experience by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) with education and training necessary for the delivery of Research study related health and medical care. Non-licensed practitioners may participate in the dispensation of research study investigational product, but not the administration of research study investigational product. Nurse candidates should be a graduate of an accredited Nursing program for RN or LPN. Minimum two years' experience in the related specialty (e.g., cardiovascular, oncology, etc.) or critical care experience and clinical trial experience is preferred but not required.

For Nursing Candidates:
Valid and active RN or LPN licensure in appropriate state Valid and active certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) when eligible by time and experience. BLS required
