Job Description

The Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTRC) is the hub for groundbreaking early-phase clinical trials at MD Anderson. With a 41-bed treatment area and a full-function laboratory, our 12,660 sq. ft. facility supports more than 700 cutting-edge trials across 22 departments, focusing on first-in-human, Phase I and II studies. This is where innovation meets patient care. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional for the Research Data Coordinator opportunity in the Clinical & Translational Research Center. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of related experience. Candidates with familiarity in outpatient research infusion procedures and EKG experience are preferred.
Shift:
Monday
  • Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:00 am
  • 5:30 pm, assigned based on business needs.
Salary:
Minimum $44,000
  • Midpoint $55,000
  • Maximum $66,000 Hourly breakdown of salary range: Minimum $21.15
  • Midpoint $26.44

SUMMARY The primary purpose of the Coordinator, Research Data is to provide administrative and patient care activities for the sponsor EKG program. Includes assisting with study sponsor EKG machine delivery, training, and inventory and ensuring accurate build and documentation of sponsor EKG timepoints Key Functions 1. Assists with study sponsored EKG machine delivery, training, inventory, supplies, organization and paper flow
  • Communicates verbally and in writing, as needed or as requested by study and/or CTRC team
  • Answers and screens office phone calls effectively and professionally
  • Generates professional documents using word processing, spreadsheets and other software
  • Works with study teams to ensure clinical staff have resources to perform study sponsored EKGs
  • Assists with training for EKG machines new to the CTRC staff
  • Troubleshoots machines while contacting coordinators if issues are not able to be resolved
  • Works with study teams to coordinate pick up of EKG strips 2. Ensures accurate collection and documentation of study sponsored EKGs
  • Reviews EPIC and ARMADA to ensure they are aligned
  • Reviews medical records to extract data points
  • Ensures all protocol EKG procedures are ordered and completed by clinical staff
  • Assists with queries from sponsors specific to EKGs 3. Maintains a high level of professional expertise and credibility through educational programs, including on-site training
  • Attends department research meetings and conferences
  • Understands and adheres to the policies and procedures related to conduct of clinical trials
  • Supplements education as needed through use of reference materials, lectures, etc
  • Arranges for coverage when absent 4.

EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Two years of related experience. No experience required with preferred education.
Preferred:
Two years of related experience; familiarity with outpatient infusion and EKG experience.
