Job Description Overview Job Duties Foster and grow the research activities and programs working with Chair, Administrative Director and faculty investigators, managing research staff and directing the research operations. Responsibilities Essential Functions

• Build infrastructure to facilitate research activities of Department.
• Strengthen clinical research productivity and potentiality for external funding.
• Develop and promote new research programs in conjunction with expanding goals of Department. Negotiate and review contracts and agreements for studies and associated services.
• Improve the interface with clinical databases and initiate research databases for more efficient utilization of research activities.
• Assist Department faculty to identify funding opportunities, development of proposals and applications and nourish other academic functions.
• Manage research financial affairs.
• Work with administrators of University, Hospital and Practice Plan to integrate Department's research mission and programs and achieve synchronous grants processing procedures and practices.
• Work on special projects as stipulated by Chair.
• Assemble collaborations with UF-Gainesville and affiliated institutions to strengthen Research foundation and advance interdisciplinary projects.
• Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience Requirements 3 years Strong clinical research experience (as administrator or coordinator) working with IRBs required Experience in healthcare organization with research function preferred Some managerial/supervisory experience preferred Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required UFJPI is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace
