Posted Job Title Clinical Research Program Manager C Job Profile Title Clinical Research Program Manager C Job Description Summary The Program Manager provides strategic, administrative, and operational management for the Department of Surgery, with a focus in the research program of Dr. Ronald DeMatteo, Chair of Surgery. The position works with Dr. DeMatteo and other leadership within the Department as well as collaborators to strengthen partnerships, expand research capacity, and advance the program's scientific mission. Job Description The Program Manager leads program development, coordination of communication, staff and resource infrastructure, and operational effectiveness of the program. The position manages relationships between Dr. DeMatteo, collaborating investigators, sponsors, other academic centers, research staff, and administrative offices. Responsibilities include developing sustainable research infrastructure and building operational systems and best practices. The Program Manager provides comprehensive oversight of operational planning relating to research activities and ensures optimal communication across stakeholders. The position leads pre- and post-award grant administration, internal and external research communications, and general administrative responsibilities related to the research efforts within the Department. Additional duties include management of internal educational research programs, event planning in collaboration with other stakeholders, and general correspondence coordination on behalf of Dr. DeMatteo. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of academic research workflows, federal and non-federal grant application and compliance, and the ability to lead complex research initiatives while building sustainable program infrastructure and maintaining rigorous standards. Qualifications o Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. o Master's degree and 5-7 years of experience preferred. This position is contigent upon grant funding. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $91,066.00 - $117,901.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
