Job Description
A Brief Overview Under the direction of the Manager, assists in supporting the growth of research business operations and by building and maintaining relationships with investigators, study teams, and Sponsors. Leads and directs others in overseeing, streamlining, managing, tracking progress and costs, analyzing and reporting research business operation activities including creating and reporting metrics to improve productivity and efficiency. What You Will Do Track, manage, and report finances and accounting related to clinical research services and tasks performed by team. (40%). Develop and monitor programs related to quality assurance and business projection (20%). Assists Manager in developing budgets for studies and research services. (20%) Track, manage, and report milestones and metrics related to research operations., (10%) Responsible for ensuring compliance with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting guidelines to internal and external regulatory agencies (including CRC, NIH, FDA, CTSC, etc.) (5%) Assists Manager in managing multiple committees and initatives to further grow and develop research services. (5%). Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Associate's Degree in business with at least 6 years in clinical research business operations (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in business with at least 4 years experience in clinical research business operations (Required) Work Experience 4+ years business operations experience with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage the execution of multi-discipline team projects. (Required) and Clinical research operations experience (Preferred) and Business analyst experience (Preferred) and Supervisory or Project Management experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Detail-oriented, results-driven person with the ability to manage successful completion of project milestones against pre-determined timelines for multiple projects concurrently. (Required proficiency) Analytical and problem-solving skills needed to evaluate and report key metrics and other operational information. (Required proficiency) Documented experience with process improvement assessment. (Required proficiency) Able to function with minimal supervision. (Required proficiency) Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative, team environment. (Required proficiency) Excellent verbal, written and communication skills to be able to develop and maintain effective communication strategies and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. (Required proficiency) Strong computer skills to automate processes and provide reports as needed - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database queries).
