A Clinical Research Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day research operations of an organization undertaking clinical trials, usually pharmacological drug testing.
A-Team Solutions LLC Position Overview A-Team Solutions is seeking experienced Clinical Research Program Managers (Levels I-V) to support a prestigious federal clinical research program in Bethesda, Maryland. This role provides leadership, coordination, and oversight of complex clinical research portfolios while working collaboratively with investigators, research teams, regulatory agencies, academic institutions, and stakeholders engaged in clinical research activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, clinical research, regulatory, and operational expertise with experience supporting NIH, NCI, academic medical centers, or other federally funded research programs. Key Responsibilities Clinical Research Portfolio Management Manage and oversee assigned clinical research portfolios. Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans. Monitor project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies. Track portfolio performance metrics and provide leadership reporting. Support strategic planning and prioritization of research initiatives. Clinical Trial Operations Coordinate protocol development, amendments, and study activation activities. Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and regulatory filings. Monitor clinical trial progress, enrollment metrics, and study milestones. Coordinate multi-site and multi-center clinical research efforts. Support audits, inspections, and monitoring visits. Project Management Lead project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities. Facilitate meetings and maintain project documentation. Track action items and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Identify and address barriers impacting project success. Regulatory & Compliance Monitor compliance with federal, institutional, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate submissions and ongoing reporting activities. Support risk management planning and mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to clinical research best practices and SOPs. Financial & Resource Management Assist with project budgeting and resource planning. Monitor expenditures and project financial performance. Develop financial forecasts and funding utilization reports. Identify budgetary concerns and recommend corrective actions. Stakeholder Communication Serve as liaison between research programs and internal/external stakeholders. Prepare leadership briefings, reports, and presentations. Coordinate communication among investigators, regulatory teams, and collaborators. Support technology transfer, clinical trial agreements, and research partnerships. Minimum Qualifications Education Master's Degree in: Health and Medical Administrative Services Nursing Public Health Clinical Research Management Related Healthcare or Scientific Discipline Experience Clinical research program management experience commensurate with level applied for. Experience supporting clinical trials, research programs, or healthcare initiatives. Experience with project management methodologies and portfolio oversight. Preferred Experience NIH or NCI research environment experience. Academic Medical Center experience. Federally funded research program experience.
