- Science (chemistry, biology, environmental science) or engineering degree with a minimum of 15 semester hours of chemistry.
- Work safely, identify and implement corrective actions for unsafe working conditions.
- Experience utilizing analytical reference methods and instrumentation to perform analyses is preferred.
- Experience with quality control requirements for analytical methods.
- Knowledge in EPA, ASTM, Standard Methods and other reference standards and their application is required.
- Ability to use technical standard operating procedures to perform analyses.
- Ability to write technical standard operating procedures for laboratory analyses to reflect requirements of reference standards and methodologies.
- Ability to interface with a variety of internal/external work groups and customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail is required.
- Ability to understand technical procedures to evaluate sample data.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues.
