Environmental Scientist

Environmental Scientist Boulder, Colorado, United States Job Description Our company is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist to join our team. We are a consulting company incorporated in 1995 comprised of dedicated individuals who help our industrial, commercial, and legal clientele resolve today's complex environmental problems. Our team uses diverse analytical tools to extract trends and patterns from complex datasets, define environmental impacts, reconstruct historical discharges, and protect human health.

Responsibilities May Include:

Work in our laboratory with our experienced team, this position will require 3-5 days per week in the lab (filtering, weighing, basic wet chem techniques). Field work - sample collection, including some travel Data management, including extracting and summarizing data from a variety of complex data sources and performing data management tasks to prepare data for analysis; develop data visualizations to communicate findings Analysis of chemical and physical data, including statistical analyses and pattern recognition in spatial and temporal datasets Support litigation work

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related degree Math through Calculus II Experience with data management and analysis Strong conceptual skills, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills General lab experience is a plus (technical instrumentation not required). Experience in geochemistry a plus Experience using programs such as Python, SQL, R, Minitab, MATLAB, Visual MINTEQ, etc. preferred This position will require the ability to lift a minimum of 50 + lbs. Versatility and flexibility will be key for this position and it will require working some holidays. Field work experience a plus (Sample collection) Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Capable of working with a team or independently Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented
