5328 Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University's School of the Environment is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the grant-funded GeoAI Learning Platform Digital Program Manager vacancy. Responsibilities Build and maintain interactive GeoAI labs using real datasets, enabling students to simulate workflows such as land use classification, climate modeling, and environmental risk detection; Oversee a portfolio builder that integrates with GitHub, allowing students to showcase projects, notebooks, and GeoAI pipelines; Coordinate mentorship tracks that pair students with industry experts, researchers, and DOE EM practitioners; and implement certification pathways with badges and micro credentials aligned to skill levels and career tracks. DOE EM remediation sites, including contamination mapping and environmental restoration analytics; Environmental impact assessments, leveraging remote sensing and machine learning; Partner with government agencies, and research labs to ensure authenticity and relevance of datasets and scenarios; Develop flexible, modular pathways that guide students from foundational skills to advanced GeoAI competencies; and integrate real world case studies-including DOE EM examples-into each module to reinforce applied learning. Design labs using Jupyter Notebooks, Google Colab, and cloud GIS platforms; Incorporate quizzes, simulations, scenario based exercises, and automated feedback loops; Ensure accessibility and usability across diverse learner backgrounds; Lead youth and K-12 engagement initiatives, including gamified GeoAI modules for schools; Host virtual field trips using satellite imagery and interactive mapping tools; and coordinate with staff a Two Day Hands On Training Workshop on Qiagen Digital PCR (dPCR) Technology, integrating molecular environmental monitoring with geospatial analytics where appropriate. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree or higher in related fields. Recommended Competencies Background in geospatial science, data science, environmental science, or related fields; Experience designing or managing digital learning platforms, technical training programs, or STEM education initiatives; Familiarity with GeoAI tools, remote sensing workflows, and cloud based geospatial environments; Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; Commitment to inclusive education and community centered learning. Pay Plan This is an Other Personnel Support (OPS)/Temporary position. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education.
