(AEL) is Florida's largest environmental, chemical, analytical testing laboratory network. AEL has been in business for 30 years and is a leader in the industry with modern instrumentation, computer technology, and employee opportunity. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time Organic and Inorganic department analysts for our Tampa, FL laboratory. Typical degrees for this position include an Associate degree or BS in Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology. Pay rate based on experience. Perform extractions and preparations of samples for analysis of drinking water, wastewater, soil and other matrices using GC and GC/MS. Testing may include pesticides, EDBs, PCBs, FL PRO, BNAs, HAAs, and PAHs.

Tampa Laboratory Schedule:

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00 pm; Operations Hours 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week. Work can occasionally include weekends, evenings and holidays in peak production times. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant during interview.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Science field, preferably Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry. OR Associates (AA or AS) Degree with courses in Chemistry, Biology, or some science preferred, or OR Minimum of two (2) years' experience in environmental laboratories or related experience Benefits (full time positions only): 401(k) retirement plan with up to 5% Company match; PTO and Floating Holidays; health benefits paid 60% by AEL; short and long term disability and life term insurance paid by AEL.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Horizon LIMS, Shimadzu GC/MS and PerkinElmer GC Experience performing extractions for some but not all of the following test methods is a plus: 8011, 8270, 8081, 8082, 625, 608, and FL PRO Strong verbal and written communication skills Math skills Computer skills Organizational skills Ability to work with accuracy
