Environmental Scientist, Transmission Line Routing & Siting Halff Associates, Inc. life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Georgia, Duluth 2180 Satellite Boulevard (Show on map) Jul 30, 2026 Description Environmental Scientist, Transmission Line Routing & Siting Halff has an opening for an Environmental professional, specializing in Transmission Line Routing & Siting, to join our growing Environmental team as an Environmental Scientist. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in transmission line routing & siting. What you will do: Provide technical leadership on a variety of environmental projects. Will be involved in client interaction. Conduct quality assurance and quality control Lead and mentor production staff. Ensure teamwork and project collaboration occur for successful completion of electric transmission line routing studies and associated environmental assessment documents. Manage the development of alternative routes for proposed electric transmission lines, impacts analyses, and documentation for project compliance with applicable federal and/or state regulations. Provide expert testimony for contested case hearings. Work with multi-discipline teams to deliver solutions to clients. Work with federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements, guidelines and procedures. Assist with identifying pursuits and developing proposals.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field, from an accredited university; Master's Degree is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Transmission Line Routing or Siting. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ArcGIS. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience communicating with clients, regulatory agency staff, and the public. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work with multi-discipline teams and to manage projects independently. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
