Lewis Primary Health Care Center is a federally qualified community health center which exists to provide patient-centered primary health care services to the medically underserved residents of the greater Savannah-Chatham County, Georgia community. The Health Center makes comprehensive primary care, integrated behavioral health care, oral health care, and inpatient respite care services available to all persons, including the homeless and low-income uninsured and underinsured, regardless of ability to pay. Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Specialist with to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in janitorial services, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Primary Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, patient rooms and common areas according to established cleanliness standards. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing custodian tasks. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management promptly. Provide reports on custodian tasks as required. Coordinate with other departments or external contractors as needed. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a custodian, or similar role. Experience with janitorial tasks and cleaning procedures. Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects. Basic understanding of health and safety regulations. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
