Essential Functions This position encompasses but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities: Working with
Students:
Support the expansion of programs to increase student access to the paddock and gardens (E-club and additional programming during the school day) Support with learning experiences connected to the curriculum (PYP units of inquiry and PYP exhibition) Organize and facilitate enriching experiences to enhance students' personal inquiry (personal inquiry time - academies). Management and coordination Coordination and management of the Primary Gardens and LJA Paddock Train and organize volunteers to maintain the Primary Gardens Train and organize volunteers to maintain and clean the paddock and animal enclosures Train and coordinate the feeding and care of animals Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required Experience and understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme required Experience working with PK-5 Students Skills and Competencies Effective communicator across a variety of platforms (written and in person/social contexts) Positive and supportive attitude in solving problems and working with peers & volunteers Critical thinker, creative problem solver Positive storyteller Works independently without direct supervision Organizational skills Experience working with PK-5 students Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
